Asian Congress of Architects

#01. Special Lecture about the City of Incheon

Background
The goal is to provide knowledge and information covering the entire city of Incheon, the host city of the Asia Architecture Conference, based on a comprehensive understanding of urban and architectural issues. This aims to enhance the capacity to address contemporary urban challenges, such as the climate crisis, changes in urban structure, the advancement of digital technologies, and the coexistence of globalization and locality.
Effect
Participants will gain fresh inspiration on the theme, which will encourage them to engage in deeper reflection on the issues explored throughout the program.
#02. Workshop

Background
Students will form teams to discuss the topic and come up with solutions. This activity moves beyond theoretical learning, providing practical experience in creatively solving real-world problems. Students will collaborate with team members who have different backgrounds and perspectives, exploring various approaches to the topic and focusing on proposing practical solutions.
Effect
Through this process, students will learn the importance of teamwork and collaboration, and practice various problem-solving methods. Additionally, by understanding and respecting different viewpoints and deriving practical solutions, students will develop the creative thinking and leadership skills necessary for shaping the future of Asian architecture.
#03. ACA21 visit

Background
Students are given the opportunity to experience design technologies and innovative projects through ACA21 lectures and large-scale exhibition tours. They will learn about real-world architectural cases that showcase the latest technologies in architecture, sustainable design, and smart building solutions.
Effect
Students will have the opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical experience, deepening their understanding of the latest technologies and professional approaches applied in real-world architecture. Through exposure to various architectural case studies, this experience will help them design not only innovative and future-oriented architecture but also sustainable buildings.
#04. Modern and Contemporary Architecture Exploration & Urban Regeneration Case Studies

Background
In contemporary urban architecture, artistic value plays a very important role. This program provides participants with the opportunity to experience Korea’s architectural culture and history by visiting historical sites where they can follow the footsteps of modern Korean architecture and architectural history. The goal is to deeply understand the meaning and significance of urban regeneration by directly experiencing the architectural harmony between the past and the present.
Effect
Participants will gain insights into Korea’s modern and contemporary architectural history and experience architectural heritage and modern development firsthand, providing them with valuable perspectives on urban regeneration. This experience will help students reinterpret architectural issues in their own regions and develop sustainable architectural solutions that reflect local characteristics.
